Welcome to the webpages of the Plant Ecophysiology and Evolution Group @ Guangxi University!

We update our webpages regularly! Please feel free to have a look around, and check back regularly to find out more about who we are and what kind of research we do.

Our research focuses on subtropical and tropical plants with important agricultural and ecological roles, and we investigate plant hydraulics and water relations, photosynthesis and photoprotection so as to understand the underlying physiological mechanisms of high productivity and tolerance to abiotic stress. In addition, we also conduct phylogenetic and genomic studies, reconstruct the historical biogeography of key-forest components, investigate the evolution of important functional traits and their relation to ecological adaptations of important plant lineages with potential impact on agriculture, forestry and conservation. Our research outcomes will provide important knowledge on the evolution, conservation and utilization of agricultural and forestry resources.
